With agricultural diseases becoming increasingly frequent and widespread in the farming world, Biosecurity is becoming
more and more important and the cleaning and disinfecting of farm vehicles at the market is now commonplace. In the
last few years, Lambert and Dyson Ltd have supplied numerous Auction Mart sites with multipump high pressure wash
down and disinfectant facilities.

LANDY auction market wash systems provide a timed wash
cycle (usually 8 minutes) actuated by either button or token
acceptor. This is then followed by a free vend disinfectant
solution at low pressure via a separate hand lance.

Usual pump outputs are 20l/min @ 100bar pressure. This gives an adequate washing force to clean dried on
spots from cattle trailers with enough flow to swill away the loose stuff. High pressure units succeed where
volume units fail in that the latter will not clean the dried on deposits.

Lambert and Dyson Ltd offers the full package from design, right through to
commissioning of the installation and subsequent servicing and maintenance.

The pictures above are of the new Thirsk Auction Mart. As a completely new auction site the
vehicle wash was sited away from the rest of the auction on open land with plenty of turning
space. A seven pump system was installed with stainless steel pipework to each token box
on the corresponding wash bay. Stainless steel is used as it has a high pressure rating and
does not deteriorate with water, disinfectant, or exposure to the elements. The pump unit
was sited on an ajacent concrete pad before being covered by a pre-fab building.
